Colourful calderas and resiliant mosses side by side.

Pretty Speccy

Went to Iceland. Flew my drone. Nearly ran out of juice once or twice. Flew 148km in 14hrs over 6 days in up to 25km/h winds!

Basalt columns rise as natural sculptures shaped by volcanic activity over thousands of years. These impressive formations, often resembling organ pipes, form when lava cools quickly and cracks into unique shapes.

These columns hold a mythical quality in Icelandic folklore, with stories of trolls and giants adding a sense of wonder. Whether hiking through the challenging terrain or simply gazing in awe at these natural wonders, the basalt columns of Iceland provide a humbling and inspiring experience.

Ancient Fire

Popping out from the vast landscape in the southern central highlands lies a trio of dormant volcanoes, a testament to the island's fiery origins. With its towering caldera and smooth slopes, the volcanos appear tranquil, but beneath their surface, the earth remains restless, a reminder of the raw power that constanly reshapes this land.
